In 2003...
- 4 cadets attended the Air Cadet Adventure Training Centre Windermere for a weeks canoeing, rock-climbing, abseiling and three-day expedition
- 14 cadets attended a weeks Summer Camp at RAF Leeming and RAF Cosford
- 1 cadet attended Overseas Camp at RAF Gibraltar
- 3 cadets went on a two-week expedition to the French Pyrenees
- 6 cadets had a Gliding Induction Course in Vigilant gliders
- 50 flights were taken by cadets in the Tutor trainer at RAF Wyton, with a further 12 flights during Summer Camp
- 2 cadets were awarded Gliding Scholarships
- 1 cadet completed a weeks Parachute course
- Canvey Island Squadron gained 3rd position in the Essex Wing Athletics (of 28 squadrons) and a total of 21 medals
- Five cadets represented Essex Wing in the London & South East Athletics
- Three cadets represented London & South East Region in the national ATC athletics
- 1 female cadet represented the ATC against the Army and Sea Cadets in the national inter-Cadet Forces Athletics competition
- One male cadet represented Essex Wing in the London & South East Football competition, and one female in the Hockey competition
- Day trip to airshows at RAF Duxford and RAF Waddington
- Adventure Training weekends involving shooting, rock-climbing, abseiling, assault course, map-reading and initiative exercises
