Find out about All ATC staff are volunteers. At 2187 (Canvey Island) Squadron, many of our staff are former Air Cadets or ex-regular HM Forces (although this is by no means a pre-requisite). There are both uniformed Reservist and civilian staff on squadron strength. Staff can attend courses to gain qualifications in First Aid, weapons training, fieldcraft, mountain leadership, canoeing, basic expedition leader and more. Staff can also gain vocational qualifications, in both ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) and various levels of City & Guilds Youth Management & Training. WE ARE RECRUITING NOW! If all this interests you, and you are 20+, fancy a challenge and would like to be involved as a staff member with 2187 Squadron and make a difference to the young people of our community, please email the Commanding Officer or visit us at our HQ. Our squadron staff come from a variety of professions, including IT, police officers, paramedics, nursing staff, salesmen - everyone has something to offer our cadets, regardless of background, job or experience. |
